Project: Package Yo Frankie for Debian

I would like to see the Blender and Crystal Space-based game Yo Frankie being part of the Debian distribution.

Whoever takes this project should package Yo Frankie and all its dependencies in a way that it is acceptable for Debian.

  2. There is a .deb package existing

Here a deb package for Ubuntu is available via bittorrent, it should work on debian installations too.

  3. Re: There is a .deb package existing

Thanks for this hint. However doing an official Debian package takes a bit more than just zipping a few files. ;-)

"should be good enough that the binary packages enters at least Debian experimental." in practice means that the packager should follow Debian packaging guidelines. That in turn means providing a source package. This allows binary packages for all arches supported by Debian (and Ubuntu).

  4. backport

    Hi,
the availability of a package for 10.10 allows for a possible backport or one can simply build the package themself.

@bdrung: I am following the mails on the Debian bugtracker. Thanks a lot for your hard work!
